Does practicing chikung affect sleep patterns?

Usually after practicing chikung two different types of sleeping patterns appear. First, you will become so energetic that you won‘t be able to get to sleep early because you are in a kind of "hyper" state of transformation process. Therefore, you won't’t be able to get to sleep as quickly as before but you will wake up as usual or even earlier. You may also find that you are so energetic in the daytime while you are working that you wonder whether or not you are crazy, but this is a common phenomena for beginners practicing chikung. It will go away after a few days or a week or so. In the second type of pattern, you may feel very sleepy and you want to sleep all day. In other words, you will go to sleep myuch earlier much earlier than usual and get up much later than usual. You will also find that you become very sleepy at any moment even while you are working or walking and you may fall asleep at any moment while watching TV, a movie or any fixed object for a while, However, this is not a terrible situation but just a transformation process for some beginner practitioners of chikung. We call such reactions a regulating state of chi which is good for correcting the other body systems. It appears a little bit strange but it is so common in the world of chi for most practitioners of chi.
